Air Comfort was founded in 1935 as an engineering company and equipment distributor for Dr. Willis H. Carrier's air conditioning products. Originally founded on the strength of our design, engineering, and installation capabilities, we quickly grew to be a company that recognized the importance of quality maintenance programs and service. In the 1960's our formal ties with The Carrier Corporation were dissolved and we became a fully independent contractor, focusing on heating, ventilation and air conditioning contracting and specifically service, preventive maintenance, retrofit projects, equipment replacements and design / build projects.

POSITION OVERVIEW :
The Sales Engineer will serve as the liaison between Air Comfort and their customers. Their core priority is addressing customers' needs and concerns as quickly and effectively as possible to develop and maintain strong relationships. The Sales Engineer's responsibilities include engineering of air conditioning, heating, ventilating, refrigeration, piping, and electrical systems, including all items necessary in the pre-contract phase (e.g. job-site surveys, load calculations, system designs, selection of equipment, preparation, and professional presentation of sales proposals, and securing orders), turning over work to be done, all in accordance with current Sales Engineer guidelines, and servicing of our accounts as necessary to keep them as profitable and satisfied customers of Air Comfort. It is the responsibility of the Sales Engineer to act as liaison between Air Comfort and the customer regarding all communications, both verbal and written. This shall include periodic visits to customers, handling of complaints, and assisting in collection of payments when necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a technical sales role, preferably in the HVAC industry.
Strong understanding of HVAC principles, equipment, and applications.
Proficiency in building codes and regulations related to HVAC systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Working knowledge of HVAC software (e.g., AutoCAD) is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to build rapport with clients and identify their needs.
Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Salary Range :
$100k-$140k Draw + Commission
