We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Manager to lead our Warrenton, Missouri manufacturing campus. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence across all areas of production, including safety, quality, on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with strong experience in lean manufacturing, resource planning, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This position is critical to achieving Total Customer Satisfaction while building and sustaining a work environment that supports long-term employee success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day plant operations to ensure on-time delivery, high quality, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and execute production resource and capacity planning.
- Drive plant safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements.
- Oversee quality initiatives to meet and exceed customer satisfaction targets.
- Collaborate with product development and management teams to align product and process design.
- Direct annual cost-reduction strategies while meeting productivity and financial goals.
- Manage capital equipment and facility planning.
- Lead, coach, and develop plant teams, including supervisors and hourly union employees, fostering a lean culture.
- Monitor and achieve performance against key metrics (safety, quality, cost, on-time delivery, productivity, employee turnover).
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and all legal requirements.
- Build a culture of open communication, trust, and continuous improvement.
- Manage and develop subordinate supervisors and their teams.
- Oversee staffing, training, performance evaluations, recognition, and discipline.
- Ensure a safe, fair, and respectful work environment.
Qualifications
Education : High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.Experience : Minimum 5 years of progressive manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory / management role.Certifications : Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Champion certification preferred.Skills :
Strong leadership and communication abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems (SAP preferred).Ability to read and interpret financial statements.Demonstrated success in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.EEO-AA-M / F / Vet / Disability
