Overview

Temco Logistics is seeking a dependable and skilled Driver and Appliance Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a 26 ft box truck to deliver and install household appliances to residential and commercial customers. This role requires a blend of driving expertise, physical capability, and technical proficiency to handle installations, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a safety-first work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a 26 ft box truck for multi-stop delivery routes and appliance installations.
  • Load, deliver, and install household appliances, including washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, cooktops, and more.
  • Ensure proper handling and loading / unloading of appliances using lift gates and other equipment.
  • Utilize handheld devices to confirm delivery and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Work with basic water lines, valves, and electrical connections for appliance installations.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to builders, homeowners, and delivery customers by addressing questions and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Maintain a safe, accident-free work environment by following company safety standards.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly.
  • Adhere to traffic regulations and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Respond appropriately to on-road emergencies and incidents in line with company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with driving and the use of installation tools and equipment for household appliances.
  • Previous experience delivering and installing appliances, including washers, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, ranges, cooktops, hoods, and built-in units.
  • Proficiency with hardwired and built-in appliance installations is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with clients.
  • Experience driving appliance delivery trucks and performing multi-stop routes.
  • Ability to handle physical workloads, including lifting and moving items weighing 100 lbs. or more.
  • Comfortable working with basic plumbing, water lines, and valves.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to pass pre-employment screenings, including DOT physical exams.
  • Team player with strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to work in dynamic environments.
