Our client, a global manufacturer in the biopharma / traceable products space, is seeking a Production Manager for their site in North Charleston, SC. The Production Manager oversees all tasks involved in producing the company's analytical standards, including managing production employees, quality control, raw material processing, packaging, and resource coordination.

- Oversee a team of 7-10 direct reports
- Recruit, train, develop, coach, motivate, and evaluate staff
- Ensure manufacturing outputs meet quality, time, and cost goals through data-driven planning and resource management
- Collaborate with Operations Manager to understand production volume and mix goals
- Conduct risk assessments and audits
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow, inventory levels, product quality, and employee effectiveness
- Develop production plans, set priorities, schedule, assign personnel, and report results
- Engage in strategic planning and data-driven decision-making for new product development and launch
- Perform other duties as assigned
Background Profile :
- Bachelor's degree in Science (Chemistry or Biology preferred)
- 5+ years of related experience, with 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects preferred
- Quick learner, adaptable to procedures and processes
- Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments, capable of working under pressure and deadlines
