Location : Bethesda, MD

Salary : $75,000 - $100,000

We're looking for a motivated Senior Audit Accountant to join our team in Bethesda. This role is crucial for managing and executing audit engagements while collaborating directly with partners, managers, and clients. You'll be directing a variety of complex accounting tasks, helping to shape audit strategy, and interpreting findings to deliver superior client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Engagements : Work closely with the engagement partner / manager to develop the audit strategy, plan engagements, manage deadlines, and ensure quality service is delivered on time and within budget.
• Technical Application : Apply strong knowledge of auditing and accounting standards, including GAAP, GAAS, GAGAS, Uniform Guidance, and HUD rules , where applicable.
• Client Insight : Quickly understand client expectations, their business, industry, and internal control systems to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
• Research & Analysis : Research complex accounting topics using firm tools, draw clear conclusions, and apply industry trends to financial analytics.
• Quality Assurance : Execute the risk assessment process, write detailed documentation of findings, and exercise professional judgment in making sound recommendations to clients.
• Team Collaboration : Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, while fostering an inclusive and professional demeanor at all times.
