Summary :
The Manpower Specialist 2 plays a crucial role in ensuring optimal staffing levels across the production operations. This position is responsible for workforce planning, resource allocation and coordination to meet production demands efficiently. The specialist will strategically manage human resources by collaborating with business divisions to forecast labor needs, manage shift coverage, and support associate onboarding and retention strategies.
Responsibilities :
Analyze production schedules and collaborate with business divisions to forecast labor requirements.
Develop strategies to ensure appropriate allocation of resources, considering factors such as project timelines, shift schedules and associate turnover
Create contingency plans in response to changes in business conditions
Address staffing adjustments, training needs and talent acquisition strategies
Collect and analyze workforce data, including trends, turnover rates and productivity metrics to inform decision-making and maintain an agile workforce
Regularly report to leadership, including C-Suite, regarding staffing levels and strategies for optimization
Assist leadership in justifying and gaining approval for additional manpower and securing budget for necessary manpower resources
Track and report KPIs related to staffing efficiency, labor forecast, instability and turnover to drive continuous improvement
Partner with recruiting to ensure consistent understanding of manpower situation
Perform routine tasks as required to support the HR function?
Education / Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Operations Management, or related field
3+ years of professional of experience in workforce planning, scheduling, or HR within a manufacturing environment
Knowledge / Skills :
Ability to analyze production schedules and predict labor needs accurately.
Familiarity with shift structures, production timelines, and operational workflows.
Skilled in interpreting workforce data (e.g., turnover, productivity) to support decision-making.
Capable of developing staffing strategies and contingency plans based on changing business conditions.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with leadership, recruiting, and operations teams.
Ability to address staffing gaps, training needs, and resource challenges proactively.
Experience supporting manpower-related budget requests and resource approvals.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Thorough understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines related to HR
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations
Flexibility to work adjusted shifts as necessary
Additional Requirements :
This role requires up to 10% of travel (domestic)
