Job Title : Warehouse / Material Handler (2nd Shift)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Warehouse / Material Handler to support our 2nd shift operations. This role involves moving, storing, and handling components and equipment used in heavy industrial and pipeline support operations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced, standards-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate s tand-up forklift (and sit-down where applicable) to move raw materials, finished goods, and equipment.
Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
Prepare and stage parts, components, and materials for production and assembly.
Maintain inventory accuracy : count, record, and track parts in the warehouse management system.
Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers as needed.
Package, label, and stage outbound shipments per shipping requirements.
Support production teams by staging materials and components to minimize downtime.
Perform general warehouse duties : sweeping, organizing, trash removal, housekeeping.
Assist with equipment maintenance, minor repairs, or cleaning as requested.
Adhere strictly to safety policies, practices, and standards; participate in safety audits and meetings.
Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with supervisors.
Qualifications / Skills
Required :
Proven experience operating a stand-up forklift safely in a warehouse or industrial environment.
Ability to lift and move heavy loads (up to 50–75 lbs or more), repeatedly.
Basic computer skills for inventory tracking (barcode scanning, warehouse system).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work the 2nd shift reliably.
Willingness to follow written and verbal instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred / Plus :
Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, or pipeline-related environments.
Experience with overhead cranes or hoisting equipment.
Basic mechanical aptitude : able to assist with fixtures, tools, or light machinery tasks.
Knowledge of warehouse safety practices (lockout / tagout, PPE, hazard awareness).
Experience with loading / unloading large, heavy, or awkward pieces of equipment.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
This is a 2nd shift (evening / overnight) role.
Must be comfortable working indoors in warehouse or shop spaces; occasionally outdoors.
Exposure to industrial noise, diesel exhaust, dust, and varying temperatures.
Frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.
Interactions with forklifts, pallets, crates, and heavy parts.
Must comply with company safety rules, wear required PPE, and maintain awareness of surroundings.
Training & Advancement
New hires will undergo forklift certification or re-certification (if needed).
On-the-job training for inventory systems, material handling procedures, and company standards.
