Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Blain, MN

Location : Blaine, MN

Employment Type : Permanent - Full-Time

Overview

The client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team in Blaine, MN. The CMA will play an essential role in supporting providers, managing patient flow, and delivering excellent care to patients across all age groups.

Schedule

  • Shift : Days (8-hour shifts)
  • Hours : 80 hours per 2-week pay period
  • On Call : None
  • Weekends : None

Responsibilities

Clinical Care

  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, and perform standard intake processes.
  • Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as directed.
  • Collect laboratory specimens and perform clinic-based lab tests.
  • Provide support with prescription refills and telephone triage.
  • Perform phlebotomy as needed.
  • Assist with X-ray duties if certified or willing to obtain certification.

    • Clinic Support

  • Facilitate communication between patients and providers.
  • Assist with front desk / check-in responsibilities as needed.
  • Help with ordering and stocking medical supplies.
  • Support prior authorization processes.

    • Other Duties

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the North Memorial Health CMA scope of practice.
  • Participate in continuous skill development and competency evaluations.
  • Adhere to compliance standards and patient privacy requirements.

    • Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Graduate of an ABHES or CAAHEP-accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting.
  • Current BLS certification .
  • Certified Medical Assistant credential (preferred).
  • Willingness to pass the X-ray operator's exam if required by the clinic.
