VP, Structured Energy Transactions (Dallas)

Job Opportunity In Dallas, TX

This position will be responsible for delivering transaction origination and execution, including power purchase and sale agreements, complex structured energy transactions, and co-location / co-development agreements and transaction structures. The individual will be also responsible for creating and implementing the market strategy for the business by developing new and existing strategic relationships, identifying and executing commercial opportunities and expanding product structures while providing deal assurance driving business growth. In depth understanding of the electric utility industry and electric energy markets is required.

Key Accountabilities

• Build and maintain long-term, strategic relationships internally and externally to ensure compliance, drive efficiencies and identify and pursue new opportunities,
• Originate, manage and execute structured energy transactions,
• Work closely with internal stakeholders across trading, legal, and operations
• Oversee deal process and internal approval processes, ensuring deals and transactions deliver on both contractual intent as well as expectations
• Identify and implement new processes and process improvements to allow the company to meet the needs of the market and the achievement of business objectives.
• Maintain a deep understanding of energy markets, monitor current market conditions, identify opportunities for new transactions.
• Attend industry events to enhance or initiate customer relationships
