Residential Electrical Manager
Service Professor is seeking for an experienced Electrical Manager to join our team and make a real impact!
The Electrical Manager will aid in recruitment, retention and performance of Electrical technicians, crews, and the department. Day-to-day tasks would include assisting technicians by providing support, product information, after-sale project management and holding them accountable for key performance indicators. They will also address questions and complaints from customers providing exceptional customer service and support.
Leadership and Team Management
Manage staff of electrical technicians.
Provide performance plans and feedback for assigned staff.
Monitor attendance of staff and make appropriate recommendations.
Assist in and / or perform all functions involving the hiring, promoting, and releasing of staff.
Shape company culture by carrying out agreed-upon values, specifically ethics and integrity.
Technical Expertise and Troubleshooting
Maintain high technical knowledge of electrical products.
Perform "troubleshooting" for problems relating to electrical products.
Stay informed of product developments, changes in local codes, and consumer preferences.
Customer and Vendor Relations
Maintain consistent contact with customers and vendors to address any business needs.
Assist clients with special requests and problems (supply information, resolve complaints).
Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction.
Sales and Product Management
Review proposals to ensure sold / proposed work aligns with pricing and margin objectives.
Recommend new product additions or deletions to the Purchasing Department to meet customer demands.
Coordinate the purchase of items to meet specific customer needs.
Prepare special quotations.
Gather competitive information.
Attend sales and product review meetings.
Operations and Coordination
Coordinate with inventory and technicians to ensure timely service and installation events.
Attend and participate in required meetings.
Travel as needed.
Able to work a flexible schedule as needed.
Administrative and Recordkeeping
Keep records as required.
Education and training duties as required.
Attend and participate in required meetings.
Other duties / responsibilities as assigned by a supervisor.
Licensing and Compliance
Able to obtain and maintain trade licenses.
What Does It Take?
Required Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience in Electrical or equivalent required.
Fluent in English (reading / writing).
Possess a valid driver's license with a solid driving record and can obtain a chauffeur's license.
Able to pass a DOT physical / drug screen and background check.
Technical and Professional Skills
Intermediate user of the Microsoft Office suite; advanced user preferred. Service Titan experience a plus.
Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
