We are on the hunt for a dynamic, experienced, and dedicated Trusts & Estates Attorney to join our fast-paced legal team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of cases, from the straightforward to the complex, in a supportive and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in trust and estate law, with a particular focus on wills and estates. This role requires a strong commitment to client service, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities :
As a Trusts & Estates Attorney, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality legal advice and representation to our clients. Your duties will include :
1. Drafting, reviewing, and advising on a variety of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
2. Representing clients in probate and trust administration matters, including the preparation of estate tax returns.
3. Advising clients on estate and gift tax planning, charitable giving, and other aspects of wealth transfer planning.
4. Conducting legal research and preparing legal memoranda on trust and estate law matters.
5. Collaborating with other members of our legal team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive legal services to our clients.
6. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting trust and estate law, and applying this knowledge to client matters.
Qualifications :
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications :
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in trust and estate law, with a focus on wills and estates.
4. Demonstrated experience in drafting and reviewing estate planning documents.
5. Strong knowledge of estate and gift tax laws, charitable giving strategies, and other areas of wealth transfer planning.
6. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
7. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and work effectively as part of a team.
8. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
9. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
10. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
