We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a growing team in Cleveland, Ohio. This role involves managing various accounting and administrative tasks to ensure smooth financial operations and accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Cash Receipts Management : Prepare deposits, record transactions in the accounting system, and generate daily bank account reports.
- Credit Card Reconciliation : Verify daily credit card transactions for accuracy.
- Payment Applications : Apply payments to invoices and maintain organized records.
- Accounts Payable Tasks : Complete data entry and provide backup support for weekly check processing.
- Contribution Reconciliation : Process and reconcile contributions and related transactions.
- General Ledger Matching : Align general ledger activities with reports or external databases for accuracy.
- Audit Support : Assist with preparing workpapers and documentation for annual audits.
- Administrative Assistance : Help Finance managers with office supply orders and equipment maintenance.
- Associate's degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting-related position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with financial database systems such as GP Dynamics.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- General administrative skills to support team operations.
