Facility Management
- Plan, develop,organize, implement, evaluateand direct the facility's programsand activities in conjunction with facility's operational budget andstate and federal regulations.
- Lead thefacility management staff and consultants in developing and working from abusiness plan that focuses on all aspectsof facility operations, including setting priorities and job assignments.
- Monitor each department's activities, communicate policies, evaluateperformance, provide feedback and assist, observe, coach, and disciplineas needed.
- Develop an environment that allows for creative thinking,problem solving, and empowerment in the development of afacility management team.
- Overseeregular rounds to monitor delivery of nursing care, operation of supportdepartments, cleanliness and appearance of the facility; morale of the staff; and ensureresident needs are being addressed.
- Exhibit positive customerservice both to internal and external customers.
- Utilize survey information, in addition to other sourcedocuments, to addressareas of importance asdefined by our customers.
- Verify that the buildingand grounds are maintained appropriately and that equipment and work areas are clean, safe and orderly, and any hazardousconditions are addressed.
Compliance Management
Maintain a working knowledge of and confirmcompliance with all governmentalregulations.Facility Staffing and Retention
Monitor Human Resources practices toverify compliance with employment laws and company policies, and to confirm practices that maintainhigh morale and staff retentionto include effective communication, prompt problemresolution, proactive supervisory practices and maintaining aproactive work environment.
Manageturnover and solidify current and future staffing through development ofrecruiting sources, and through appropriate selection, orientation, training, staff education anddevelopment.Assist in the recruitment and selection of competent department managers, supervisors,and other auxiliary personnel.Consult with department managersconcerning the operation of their departments to assist ineliminating / correcting problem areas, and / or improvement of services.Provide that disciplinary actionis administered fairlyand without regard to race, color,creed, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or marital status.Recognize staff for exceptional care and job performance on a regularbasis and as part of their formal performance evaluation.Business Management
Managefacility budgets and business practicesto include labor costs, payables,and receivables.Monitorbusiness activities to be certain procedures and standards are followed,appropriate handling of funds and that sound credible businesspractices are followedat all times.Communicate budget guidelines and expectations to Department Managers.Marketing and RevenueManagement
Develop andimplement a marketing strategy for the facility that reflects serviceopportunities, competition, potential market area changes,and which maximizes census, payor mix, and ancillary revenues.Lead and monitor key staff and facility staff to play anactive role in carrying out themarketing plan.Takeinitiative in evaluation, development and implementation of new businessopportunities that meets the needs of the community and benefits the facility / Company.Community Relations
Develop positive relationships on behalfof the Company with government regulators, residents, families, other area health care providers, physicians and community at large.Act as a resource of information to the community related to health care issues.Other Duties
Attendor complete (CEUs)in-service education programsin order to meet facilityand licensure educational requirements.Be familiarwith Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plan, Fire Drill and Evacuation Procedures and know how to usethe information.Maintain confidentiality of residentand facility records / information.Protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse.Protect the personal property of the residents ofthe facility.Others dutiesas directed by the Director of Operations.Minimum Qualifications :
Current / active state Nursing Home Administrator license.Organized and detailedin work performance.Good communication skillswith excellent self-discipline and patience.Genuine caring for andinterest in elderly anddisabled people in a nursing facility.Comply with the Residents' Rightsand Facility Policiesand Procedures.Perform work taskswithin the physical demandrequirements as outlined below.Perform Essential Duties as outlinedabove.J-18808-Ljbffr
