Provide leadership and personal involvement to conduct the Development, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and Maintenance of immersion component materials to assure compatibility with immersion fluids used in company IT Equipment (ITE) immersion cooled solutions. Provide project engineering and process engineering design support for all material compatibility testing projects. Develop the life cycle monitoring and maintenance of company immersion compatible materials and document accordingly within the company's engineering systems.
- Process Design & Detail Engineering include performing process simulations, design calculations, Process Optimization, sizing & selection of equipment, to meet desired standards of material compatibility in accordance with recognized industry standards.
- Review and work directly with dielectric fluid manufacturers with their immersion fluid specifications, datasheets, verification of fluid manufacturers material compatibility test reporting and other appropriate standards.
- Preparation of various engineering deliverables (Drawings & Documents) such as Process Flow Diagrams, P & I Diagrams, Process Datasheets, Equipment Specifications, Cause & Effect Diagrams, control philosophies, shutdown philosophies, HAZOP Studies & reports, Operation & maintenance manuals etc. and providing necessary engineering inputs to the other disciplines and other departments.
- Engage with multi-discipline team from a Project Engineering perspective for an efficient design workflow.
- Review material compatibility testing designs, and cost estimates.
- Provide Engineering leadership design of material compatibility lab specification including appropriate test equipment, power, security etc.
- Apply Lessons Learned, functional Best Practices, and industry analogues to facilities scopes of work.
- Prepare material compatibility scope of work, perform testing set up and perform the material compatibility testing in accordance with documented standards.
- Prepare material compatibility technical specifications in accordance with accepted standards for review and approval
- Evaluate fluid manufacturers submitted immersion fluids in accordance with the approved Statement of Work (SOW) and / or technology cooperation agreement
- Monitor any subcontracted technical service activities
- Assist with development of design guides, guide specifications, and design operating procedures for any material compatibility or other chemical testing programs.
- Lead R&D team in terms of chemical analysis of immersion materials and fluid material compatibility from the point of thermal material identification, selection and testing with fluid manufacturers immersion fluids submitted for compatibility testing within an SOW or technology cooperation agreement.
- Development of company technical standards, documentation, implementation and life cycle management of thermal interface material and compatibility testing development
- Guide other company Engineers and technicians through deliverable material compatibility processes for projects.
- Act as safety supervisor for the lab, setting up all safety systems within company lab facilities and conducting training for all required personnel.
- Preparation & Issue of SOW, evaluation of fluid manufacturers immersion fluids, specifications, data sheets and other technical documentation.
- Review of fluid manufacturer's documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications, and calculations.
- Ensure safety and compliance with environmental regulations
- Learn about company's business as appropriate. Shows up to work on time and attends work as scheduled.
- Engage with partners and customers to demonstrate the lab and explain chemical engineering processes when necessary.
- Participation in industry standards and specification bodies, as required, Including OCP CE Immersion Workstreams

Competency Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering or related discipline and 2-4 years of responsible post baccalaureate laboratory work or experience in facilities, operations engineering, or related discipline.Minimum 2 years of varied related industry experience; 5 years preferred.Ability to work collaboratively with Hardware Design Engineers, manufacturing engineering process engineers, Operations, and other staff.Able to identify, control and manage conflict, risks, changes, safety, quality, cost & schedule in an organized manner and often time-constrained environment.Demonstrate technical, project management and leadership skills and commitment to company guidelines, as required to successfully execute chemical process projects and deliver a quality result that assures confidence in any material compatibility test.Conversant with the Engineering Standards such as API, NFPA, ASME, ASTM, BS / EN etc.Some travel to supplier locations may be required.Ability to follow all applicable Business Management System (BMS) processes.Core Competencies
