Pay Rate : $21.00 per hour
This position performs technical work concerned with maintaining all aspects of cable installation process including OSP, ISP, Patch, Pathway Construction, rough-in, cable routing, cable terminations, cable labeling, and cable grounding. This position is also responsible for audio and video transmission including installation of TV's and audio systems, and installation of Door Access Control hardware. Additionally, this position is responsible for support of radio communication devices and personally performing the following duties, as well as demonstrating the GILA WAY.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests.
- Installs and conducts regular preventive maintenance on all Audio / Visual related equipment, Access Control System, and but not limited to : Access Control Panels, card readers, Request to Exit (PIR) devices, magnetic locks, door strikes.
- Two-way-radio repair and configuration.
- Carries out all departmental low voltage system installations including but not limited to : access control system, two-way communications system.
- Copper and Fiber Optic Structured cabling installation.
- Rough in various types of cable above ceiling or raised floor.
- Install cutouts, install faceplates, and terminate jacks.
- Terminate CAT5E, CAT6, CAT6A, RG6, RG11 jacks. Mount faceplates and surface mount boxes correctly. Adhere to labeling standards.
- Responsible for terminations, testing and documentation.
- Responsible for pathway installation and fiber optic splicing.
- Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and / or lateness.
- Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.
Skills / Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required.Applied knowledge of a skill in general Two-Way Communication, CCTV, CATV, Multimedia, Card Access, Computer Aided Design (CAD), staging and lighting, and computer maintenance.Experience in testing fiber optic strands OTDR and Power Meter.Experience in troubleshooting fiber optic strands and fusion splicing.Ability to interpret basic cable and audio / visual drawings.Ability to perform the GILA WAY which is as follows :Greet our guestInteract positively with our guestListen actively to our guestAppreciate our guestMust possess excellent guest service skills, strong telephone etiquette, a self-starter with the ability to follow-up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as well as to gain the cooperation of guest and fellow team members.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.This position must have, or an ability to acquire within one year, an in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to their responsibilities
