About the Opportunity : We’re seeking a results-driven Tooling Engineer with a deep understanding of mold design and plastic forming technologies. In this high-impact role, you'll oversee the development, procurement, and validation of injection molds, while pushing for cutting-edge solutions to improve manufacturing performance. This is an opportunity to work with a collaborative engineering team and make a direct contribution to long-term production reliability and efficiency. Key Responsibilities : Lead tooling strategy development to support efficient production. Manage tooling construction projects—including new builds and design revisions. Partner with Product Engineering to ensure moldability, manufacturability, and sustainability of new and existing designs. Ensure tooling designs support long-term reliability and consistent performance in mass production. Oversee the creation of new tooling, fixtures, and gauges aligned with production needs. Provide hands-on support and guidance to the mold repair department. Track and improve tooling performance, proactively identifying and implementing solutions. Maintain detailed documentation for all tooling systems and processes. Work directly with suppliers to secure cost-effective, high-quality tools. Research and implement new technologies to improve mold design, repair, and efficiency. Support manufacturing process improvements related to tooling and mold optimization. Drive continuous improvement through innovation in materials, tooling, and design. What You’ll Bring : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. 5+ years of experience in the injection molding industry, specializing in tool design. Demonstrated success managing complex tooling projects from concept through validation. Hands-on experience with mold construction and interpreting 3D CAD mold designs. Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting Moldflow analysis. Familiarity with various mold materials, metals, and polymers. Advanced understanding of both cold runner and hot runner systems. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and creative design abilities. Proven ability to communicate and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Skilled in technical documentation, reporting, and presentations. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Willingness and ability to travel frequently, as project needs demand.
