- Serve as a key mentor to the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure best practices and compliance.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Oversee the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements.Analyze financial results, trends, and variances; provide actionable insights to senior leadership.Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies in all financial reporting.Deliver ad hoc financial reporting and analysis, including pricing and breakeven scenarios.Operational Excellence
Create, maintain, and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.Focus on documenting procedures, refining processes, account reconciliations, and automating tasks.Oversee general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.Strategic Planning & Budgeting
Assist in the development of annual operating and capital budgets.Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts; identify and explain variances.Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling and scenario analysis.Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.Maintain accurate records in accordance with the company’s records retention policy.Skills & Competencies
CPA RequiredDeep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controlsProficiency in ASC 606 and 842Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems)Extensive experience in Microsoft Excel at advanced to expert level and willingness to complete pre-hire screening to demonstrate abilitiesStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsHigh degree of initiative and personal drive, with the ability to work independently, think critically, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the accounting functionStrong public speaking skills; confidently presents financial results, strategic initiatives, and project updates to leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teamsAbility to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple prioritiesPrior experience in Monday.com a plusPrior experience in ERP implementation preferredWhat Sets Us Apart : Our Culture
