The Role
As our Industrial Maintenance Manager , you'll lead our maintenance team to ensure the seamless operation of our facility by overseeing repairs, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, equipment installations, and upgrades. You'll manage a team of 2-3 Industrial Maintenance Technicians, driving efficiency in our machine shop, forklift operations, and across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This senior leadership role requires strategic planning, hands-on expertise, and a focus on innovation to support our fast-paced production environment.
This role is full-time, on-site, with working hours from 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 45 PM. Occasional overtime is possible.
Supervisory Duties
- Manage a team of 2-3 Maintenance Technicians, overseeing hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to ensure a skilled, responsive workforce.
- Mentor technicians in advanced troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous learning, building on their entry-level capabilities.
- Implement training programs to enhance team proficiency in shop fabricating equipment, forklifts, man-lifts, and power hand tools.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime by at least 20%, using data from inspections and repairs.Manage a CMMS system for work orders, inventory, and equipment history, analyzing trends to optimize schedules and predict failures.Oversee maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of key systems like CNC machines, laminating equipment, forklifts, air compressors, and facility infrastructure (HVAC, plumbing).Coordinate equipment installations / retrofits with production and engineering teams to minimize operational disruptions.Conduct audits, risk assessments, and budget management for maintenance, including vendor negotiations and capital proposals.Ensure OSHA / EPA compliance through safety training, drills, incident investigations, and root-cause analyses.Drive lean / Kaizen initiatives and collaborate with production / R&D for prototyping support and process improvements.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or equivalent (7+ years industrial maintenance with progressive leadership).7-10 years manufacturing maintenance experience, including 3-5 years supervisory / managerial role.Hands-on expertise in mechanical, electrical systems; experience with CNC, laminating machines, forklifts, and air compressors.Advanced knowledge of pneumatic / hydraulic systems, PLC programming, CMMS (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo), blueprints, and predictive maintenance technologies.Proficiency in lean principles; strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills for team management and data-driven decisions.OSHA 30-Hour Certification ideal; bilingual Spanish / English preferred.Dependable, team-oriented; high school diploma or equivalent required.Compensation
