Working with partners across the university, Public Relations and Marketing Communications develops strategies and implements plans and initiatives that foster open and honest communication. Our goal is to produce clear and consistent communication that is fundamental to establishing and maintaining credibility and building support for the university. The Division of Public Relations and Marketing Communications (PRMC) at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a creative Social Media Coordinator to help tell the GSU story across platforms, and to create content that captures the energy of campus life and highlights the university.

What will you do
This position is responsible for content creation, publishing and monitoring content across the university’s official social media platforms. This role will showcase Georgia State’s academic excellence, student success, research impact and community engagement while strengthening the university’s digital presence.

What We’re Looking For :
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree and four years of related experience; or a high school or GED and eight years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Requirements :
In addition to meeting the minimum requirements, preference may be given to those who meet the following : two years of experience working with social media campaigns or media relations, use of analytics and related dashboards (Hootsuite preferred), experience using a variety of social media platforms and knowledge of higher education and Georgia State.
