Essential Functions :
Answer, screen and forward calls providing information, taking messages and scheduling appointments.Memorize and use scripts effectively both over the phone and in person.Scan documents such as referrals, new patient paperwork, and record releases into patients chartCollect mail, messages and courier deliveries.Check in patients and maintain a sign in sheetEnter patients personal information into computerDetermine which patients need a medical history update (once a year)Indicate a patient is ready to be seated by changing the status on the appointmentConfirm next day and 3-day out appointmentsPrint route slips for the next days appointmentsReport changes in the schedule and walk ins to staff as necessaryMust always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.Must maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policies.Must be able to comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and task assignments.Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically.Experience and Education :
High School DiplomaBilingual (English / Spanish) Preferred But Not RequiredPrior Experience in Dental / Medical field a plusWorking Conditions / Physical Requirements :
Sitting 80%Standing / walking 20%Medical, office, and lab setting.Hearing Must be able to hear telephonic equipment and comfortably communicate with Patients and others by telephone and in person.Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) as required for business software, and operating office machines.
