Job Title : Senior Manager, Human Resources (Carlstadt, NJ)
Summary : Provides Human Resources support and leadership to C.H. Guenther's manufacturing plant in Carlstadt, NJ. Acts as the Human Resources business partner reporting to the Regional Director, Human Resources with a strong dotted-line to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Utilize standard processes and best practices to align human resource initiatives with operational objectives.
- Drive improvement to human capital programs at the plant through key performance indicators and problem solving.
- Partner with site operations leaders to ensure proactive positive employee relations programs are implemented and positive plant morale is realized.
- Create and implement innovative and cost effective strategies and tactics to attract and retain top talent at all levels of the plant.
- Lead staffing and recruitment activities for hourly and salaried positions, including manpower planning.
- Maintain all electronic data as necessary.
- Manage all employee leaves of absence and respond to unemployment claims as appropriate.
- Conduct employee investigations and advise management regarding appropriate resolution of issues.
- Participate in developing and maintaining employee policies, procedures, and practices.
- Oversee company and employee recognition events and activities.
- Conduct new hire orientation and partner with Operations to ensure successful onboarding for all new hires.
- Oversee tracking of attendance management program.
- Lead training and development of the site, including onboarding, performance review process, succession development for local exempt staff, and partnership with operations to ensure skilled training programs for maintenance staff; collaborate with Corporate L&OD to ensure leadership development programs are managed effectively.
- Manage the corrective action process to uphold company values and ensure a fair and consistent approach to employee relations issues.
- Partner with corporate HR to implement and maintain positive two-way communications programs.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Director of Compensation and Benefits to administer the local compensation program, ensure quality performance appraisals, communicate annual increase recommendations, and manage local hourly wage rates.
- Support benefits inquiries and assist staff and supervisors with benefits issues.
- Support the corporate office in developing and implementing HR policies and programs as required.
- Support other plants outside the region on HR projects as required.
- Develop and manage direct reports through performance appraisals, staff development, and coaching on HR issues.

This is not a guarantee of compensation and final offers may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
