Our Buildings team has an opportunity for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team. Your role as a contributor on our professional consulting team is to work on projects of high complexity and serve as a leader of a team or project through all phases of a project lifecycle. The Electrical Team Lead role is to serve as the overall technical lead on projects of various sizes and complexities, with the support of a team of electrical engineers and designers.

Your key responsibilities include :

• Leading work on multiple projects with a team of design colleagues to conceptualize and develop full documentation for new construction and renovation projects.
• Providing supervision to staff of all levels to develop staff skills and abilities.
• Leading in client meetings on projects to establish design criteria and support through construction administration.
• Leading in the evaluation, selection, and engineering of all electrical engineered systems and products for a project.
• Leading the preparation and coordination of project specifications with construction documents.
• Leading in the development of a design through sketches, engineering calculations, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
• Leading project coordination meetings with internal team members and external consultants, owners, contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors.
• Conducting quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers.
• Leading in the development of new standards and specifications for the electrical engineering group.
• Performing field work to review existing facility conditions for use in development of site-specific electrical design documents.
• Applying technical expertise while leading cross-functional resources to meet project requirements within established timeframes and budget.
• Providing client consultation, drawing on professional expertise and knowledge of Stantec's services.
• Nurturing existing client relationships and proactively pursuing opportunities for new business.
• Acting as a resource for staff to all levels in any area of technical expertise.
• Maintaining current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types.
• Implementing sustainable design principles into the building design and surrounding environment.

Your capabilities and credentials include :

Education and experience : Bachelors degree or equivalent in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with a lighting / electrical emphasis required. Minimum 15 years in related professional experience preferred. Professional Engineering license required. LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.

Pay Range :

Locations in VT, & Various CA, NY Areas - Min Salary $ 102,100.00 - Max Salary $ 153,200.00

Locations in CO, HI, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas - Min Salary $ 112,300.00 - Max Salary $ 168,500.00

Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP) - Min Salary $ 128,600.00 - Max Salary $ 193,000.00
