Under general supervision, the Facilities Coordinator independently maintains the physical facility and all state-owned equipment within the School of Continuing Education's (SCE) downtown Milwaukee location. This includes over 75 offices, 17 conference rooms, seven pairs of restrooms, and five mechanical rooms on the 6th and 7th floors of the John Plankinton Building. The Facility Coordinator must understand the relationship between a properly maintained physical environment / equipment and faculty-staff-student needs including safety, productivity, learning, and comfort. The Facility Coordinator is expected to carry out all of the duties of this position independently with minimal supervision. The standard hours are Monday-Friday, 6 : 15 a.m. to 3 : 00 p.m., with occasional evening and weekend work required, and serving as the first point of contact for building emergencies.Experience with common software and applications (e.g., MS Office Suite, email, etc.).Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.Experience with HVAC systems.Construction or facility trades experience.Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend blueprints for building maintenance and construction.The initial hiring range is $27.30 to $31.25.
