About the Role

Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, the Senior Electrical Engineer oversees and leads the design of electrical control systems for safe, effective, and efficient operation of States Mfg. products and processes while meeting and exceeding company quality and production standards and customer documentation and delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex electrical control systems for LV / MV switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, and control panels
• Manage and execute designs using AutoCAD Electrical, including creating libraries, schematics, and bill of materials; support integration with mechanical design tools such as SolidWorks PDM.
• Evaluate and specify electrical / electronic components for performance, reliability, and compliance.
• Oversee multiple engineering projects, coordinating with sales, project managers, manufacturing, testing, and field service to ensure deliverables are on schedule and within budget.
• Interpret customer specifications, contracts, and technical documents
• Mentor junior engineers and designers
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Drive continuous improvement in design standards, processes, tools, and system documentation to enhance quality, safety, and productivity.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors
• Participate in the full product lifecycle, from concept to completion
• Support up to 10% local travel to customer or supplier sites for technical and commercial engagement.
