Hybrid Employment Law Litigation Paralegal
This Jobot job is hosted with details including base pay range and benefits. The role will support Warren, NJ with three attorneys (two Partners and one Associate) on civil litigation matters in labor and employment practice. The position will follow cases through the full litigation lifecycle. The ideal candidate is independent, detail-oriented, able to prioritize and manage time efficiently, and capable of multi-tasking with high accuracy in a busy environment.
Base pay
$80,000.00 / yr - $105,000.00 / yr
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all phases of the litigation process, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support the case.
- Assemble affidavits and other legal documents for use in court proceedings.
- Communicate with vendors, opposing counsel, and clients to gather information and coordinate efforts.
- Maintain case files and ensure that all documents are properly organized and filed.
- Follow the full cycle litigation lifecycle to ensure that all deadlines are met.
- Research legal articles, treaties, and legal codes to stay up-to-date on legal developments.
- Provide support in labor and employment law cases.
- Utilize Westlaw, Compulaw, and Kolfax to assist with legal research.
- Provide support in employment defense cases.
- Proficiency in New Jersey E-filing on a state and federal level required.
Qualifications
Paralegal certificate or Bachelor's degree in a related field.5+ years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in labor and employment law.Working knowledge of motions, discovery, litigation documents, court practices, and legal procedures.Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with vendors, opposing counsel, and clients.Proficiency in Westlaw, Compulaw, and Kolfax.Experience in employment defense cases.Proficiency in New Jersey E-filing on a state and federal level required.Benefits & additional details
