People Operations Professional
We are looking for a People Operations professional to build and scale the systems, programs, and processes that power our team. You'll ensure that Tandem's people infrastructurespanning onboarding, compensation, benefits, compliance, performance, and cultureruns smoothly, efficiently, and with excellence.
You will serve as the operational backbone for the employee lifecycle and a strategic partner to leaders across the company. This role blends execution and strategy : building scalable systems while staying close to the day-to-day employee experience.

If you join, you will :
- Own and optimize end-to-end people processes : onboarding, offboarding, benefits, compensation, performance, compliance, and engagement
- Maintain data integrity across HR systems (HRIS, payroll, ATS) and serve as the system administrator for core people tools
- Partner with Finance on payroll, headcount planning, and compensation cycles
- Ensure compliance with all employment regulations and internal policy standards
- Build scalable frameworks and SOPs for hiring, feedback, and employee development
- Work with leadership to improve the employee experiencefrom first day to last
- Manage and track key people metrics and reporting to enable better decision-making
- Lead and support company-wide programs (e.g., engagement surveys, performance reviews, recognition programs)
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employeeshandling questions with empathy, discretion, and clarity
- Drive operational excellence by continuously identifying opportunities to automate, simplify, or improve existing processes
We'll be most excited if you have :
27 years of experience in people operations, HR, or business operations in a fast-paced environment (startups, consulting, or scaling tech companies preferred)Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills; you're comfortable with data, spreadsheets, and workflowsExperience managing HRIS and related tools (e.g., Rippling, Gusto, Justworks, Workday, etc.)Excellent judgment and confidentialityyou handle sensitive information with careStrong written and verbal communication skills; you bring clarity and calm to complexityA builder's mindsetyou enjoy designing from zero and scaling what worksCuriosity and intellectual horsepower; you learn fast and stay rigorousA sense of ownershipyou don't just identify problems, you fix themComfort with ambiguity, change, and moving at high velocityThis is a list of ideal qualifications for this position.
