Job Description
Qualifications
- Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics
- Ability to work with pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical machinery
- Ability to complete technical reports in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- This position requires employees to climb on top of machines, inside machines (confined spaces), and regularly lift loads weighing 50 pounds or more
- Employees must be able to kneel, stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods
- Associate's Degree or two to three years of related experience and / or training, or a combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, practical electrical engineering, and general mechanical theory
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Unexpired state-issued driver's license
- Proper travel documents and authorization are required for travel outside of the United States
Responsibilities
Responsible for on-site customer troubleshooting, diagnostics, and installation of Injection Mold, Aluminum Extrusion, and Die Cast machinesStrong understanding of industrial machinery, electrical principles, mechanical concepts, and precision mechanical componentsSupervise installation of new machines or partsComplete final acceptance testing of new machinesTrain customers and service technicians on machine operationTroubleshoot and repair customer machine problems via phone and / or on-siteUtilize and maintain technical and precision measurement testing equipmentConstruct machine components as needed for customer-specific jobsThis job operates in both professional office and manufacturing environmentsIn the office environment, routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers, and filing cabinetsRegularly exposed to heavy machinery (overhead cranes, forklifts, IM / DC / EX machines), moving mechanical parts, and occasionally to electrical shock and mechanical vibrationCustomer facilities may not always have high safety standards; employees are expected to remain vigilant and responsible for their own safety, including wearing PPE appropriate to the areaTravel schedule varies; 75%–90% travel requiredMay need to travel to customer sites for installation, rigging, assembly, and on-site trainingCustomer sites are within the United States, Canada, and MexicoBenefits include free dental, 401k with 100% match up to 4%, 12 paid holidays, and 18 PTO days.
