Houston - Oil & Gas Transactional Associate Attorney. Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 firm with a nationally recognized Energy practice, is seeking a talented Oil & Gas Transactional Associate Attorney to join its Houston office. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level associate to gain hands-on experience in complex transactions across the traditional energy sector, with the ability to work on both established oil and gas matters and innovative energy transition projects.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record
• Active Bar Admission in Texas , in good standing.
• Candidates relocating to Houston and willing to gain admission within the first year of employment are also welcome to apply.
• 4+ years of substantive experience in energy-related corporate transactions
• Background in one or more of the following within the upstream and midstream oil and gas sectors
• Mergers and acquisitions (M&A), divestitures joint ventures development agreements operating agreements , and / or commercial contracts
• Experience drafting and negotiating gathering, transportation processing supply , and offtake agreements related to carbon capture and energy transition projects is highly valued
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills; business-oriented approach to client service; and ability to manage complex matters within a collaborative team environment.
