HR & Bookkeeping Specialist
Streamline Operations in a Dynamic Plumbing Service Team!
We're hiring a versatile HR & Bookkeeping Specialist to handle 50% people ops (recruiting, onboarding, compliance) and 50% accounting (A / R, A / P, payroll) for our growing operations in Wichita, KS (with Oklahoma City collaboration; some local travel). Thrive in a fast-paced environment building processes and supporting field excellence, M–F 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
Key Responsibilities Human Resources
- Manage full-cycle recruiting : posts, screening, offers, background / MVR checks, onboarding
- Maintain files / handbooks, ensure compliance (E-Verify, federal / state laws), administer benefits / PTO / workers ' comp / FMLA
- Support reviews, communications, culture programs, and safety documentation
Bookkeeping & Payroll
Process vendor bills / credit cards, match POs, manage 1099s / termsReconcile accounts monthly; prep payroll (hours / commissions / reimbursements) with providerAssist month-end close, financial reports, and KPI dashboards (revenue, tickets, jobs)Requirements
4+ years in bookkeeping / HRKnowledge of A / R, A / P, payroll, reconciliations, and HR best practices / employment lawProficiency in Google Workspace / Microsoft 365; ServiceTitan experience a plusValid driver's license; pass background / MVR checksHigh ownership, accuracy, clear communication, and multitasking skillsPreferred
SHRM-CP, aPHR, and / or PHR certificationsExperience with QuickBooks OnlineWork history with companies in construction, home services, industrial, etc. industriesCompensation & Benefits $50,000–$70,000 base. Medical, dental, vision, life; PTO + holidays; 401(k) match; professional development.
