Overview
An established organization in Dallas is seeking an Assistant IT Manager to support and eventually step into a key IT leadership position. This is an onsite, hands-on role offering exposure to a complex enterprise environment and a clear growth path into IT management. Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM.
This position provides hands-on support across infrastructure, applications, and security initiatives, with responsibility for guiding and mentoring a small IT team while remaining actively engaged in technical work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of an 8–10 person IT team, including analysts, programmers, and infrastructure specialists.
- Assist in managing a hybrid environment spanning on-premises and cloud (Azure IaaS) systems.
- Participate in planning and execution of infrastructure, networking, and security projects.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members while remaining hands-on.
- Coordinate with vendors and external technology partners.
- Contribute to enterprise monitoring, backup, redundancy, and security improvements.
- Communicate effectively between IT and business leaders, translating technical information clearly.
- Play an active role in long-term IT strategy and prepare to advance into a management position.

Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field (advanced degree preferred).3–7 years of progressive IT experience in infrastructure, networking, systems, or applications.Relevant certifications (Azure, Cisco, Microsoft, PMP, etc.) strongly preferred.Proven ability to lead, mentor, or coordinate technical projects.Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Hands-on experience in Microsoft environments, networking, and enterprise systems.Strong desire and aptitude to grow into an IT management position.GPA required — please include with your application.J-18808-Ljbffr
