Estamos buscando un tornero o maquinista de precisión altamente calificado, con experiencia en la operación de torno vertical tipo torreta (VTL), mandrinadora ó fresadora horizontal (HBM) y torno manual.

El candidato ideal deberá contar con un sólido conocimiento en interpretación de planos mecánicos, manejo de tolerancias ajustadas, lectura de especificaciones técnicas, y uso avanzado de instrumentos de medición de precisión.

Responsabilidades principales :

  • Operar y programar equipos VTL, HBM y tornos manuales para fabricar componentes metálicos de alta precisión.
  • Interpretar planos técnicos, hojas de proceso e instrucciones de manufactura.
  • Preparar, montar y alinear las piezas según los requerimientos del proyecto.
  • Medir y verificar dimensiones utilizando instrumentos como micrómetros, calibradores, relojes comparadores, entre otros.
  • Realizar ajustes menores en herramientas y máquinas para asegurar la calidad del producto.
  • Cumplir con los protocolos de seguridad industrial y realizar mantenimientos preventivos básicos en los equipos.
  • Trabajar de manera autónoma, cumpliendo con los estándares de calidad y tiempos de producción establecidos.

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced machinist skilled in operating a Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL), Horizontal Boring Mill (HBM), and manual lathe. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of mechanical drawings, tight tolerances, interpretation of technical specifications, and proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities :

  • Operate and program VTL, HBM, and manual lathe machines to manufacture precision metal components.
  • Interpret technical blueprints, process sheets, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Set up, mount, and align parts according to project requirements.
  • Measure and verify part dimensions using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.
  • Make minor adjustments to tools and machines to ensure product quality.
  • Follow industrial safety protocols and perform preventive maintenance on machines.
  • Work with minimal supervision while meeting established quality and production time standards.

    Requirements

    ESPAÑOL

  • Mínimo 2 años de experiencia en la operación de torno vertical (VTL), mandrinadora o fresadora horizontal (HBM) y torno manual.
  • Conocimientos técnicos sobre materiales como acero inoxidable, aleaciones especiales y metales ferrosos.
  • Experiencia en el maquinado de piezas grandes y de geometría compleja.
  • Capacidad para realizar inspecciones de calidad y documentar los resultados.
  • Dominio en la lectura e interpretación de planos GD&T (Dimensionamiento y Tolerancias Geométricas).
  • Habilidad para trabajar con tolerancias estrechas y altos estándares de precisión.
  • Deseable experiencia previa en entornos industriales como petróleo y gas (Oil & Gas), generación de energía o manufactura pesada.
  • Persona puntual, responsable, proactiva y orientada a la calidad.

    • ENGLISH

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating VTL, HBM, and manual lathes.
  • Technical knowledge of materials such as stainless steel, special alloys, and ferrous metals.
  • Experience machining large and complex-shaped parts.
  • Ability to perform quality inspections and document results.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance) drawings.
  • Skilled at working with tight tolerances.
  • Preferably experienced in industrial environments such as oil & gas, power generation, or heavy manufacturing.
  • Punctual, responsible, and proactive attitude.
