Membership responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of membership recruitment, membership retention, database integrity and membership benefits.
- Develop and implement an annual Membership Strategic Plan with direction from the President / CEO.
- Provide creative ideas and suggestions to increase membership and to retain current members.
- Monitor and analyze data for trends in membership, providing feedback and suggestions on leveraging this information for retention of current members and identifying prospects.
- Ensure membership information is kept current in the Association's database to effectively track member and non-member organization information and demographics.
- Provide monthly membership reports to the President / CEO and quarterly reports to the HCP Board of Directors.
- Maintain online membership renewal applications.
- Update member and non-member mailing lists in coordination with the Director of Information Systems; segment for targeted communications as needed.
- Develop and maintain member orientation / onboarding materials and practices to ensure new members are engaged and accessing member benefits as soon as possible.
- Respond to HCP member inquiries, promoting membership benefits and products; provide membership information and follow-up.
- Work with the Director of Administration & Finance and Director of Information Systems to monitor membership payments and follow up with members to ensure late payments are received or memberships are suspended as necessary.
- Develop budgetary goals for membership with direction from the President / CEO.
- Manage member specialty programs which include Heroes in the Home and the EAL Scholarship programs.
The HCP Insider (Weekly Newsletter)
Primary person responsible for weekly production of the HCP Insider, including all aspects of its production, soliciting, and creating advertising as necessary. Work with staff to produce promotional advertising for HCP and HCPF programs and meetings and ensuring other HCP staff are trained as back up for its production.Social Media
Maintain regular communication distribution through appropriate social media outlets.Stay current on new social media developments and suggest appropriate platforms to maximize membership communications.Monitor and report on social analytics. Recommend changes and updates to leverage this information.Develop social media advertising campaigns and report results.Communications
Direct activities related to HCP and HCPF brands, public image, and positioning through all communication channels.Chapter / Region Relations
Ensure ongoing collaborative working relationships with Chapter / Region leaders, fostering and sustaining a culture of cooperation, trust, communication, mutual support, teamwork, and integrity.Assist and support Chapter membership recruitment, promote Chapter meetings. Assist in identifying speakers for Chapter meetings as requested.Develop resources, templates, and calendars for Chapters to create consistency and ease volunteer responsibilities.Other duties as assigned. In-person and online event attendance is mandatory.
