Overview
Gray Media is seeking a Digital Content Producer to join a new daily talk show focused on health and consumer issues surrounding aging. The show will air on Gray Media's broadcast and digital platforms, Monday through Friday. This is a new show being developed by Gray Media and an opportunity to join a team producing the next wave of syndicated programming. This is not a newscast. The position is based in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have a background in journalism and be a creative writer able to publish content to all multimedia and social platforms. Strong organization and creative problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work under deadlines are essential.
Responsibilities
Work with the Executive Producer and producers to write and publish content on digital and social platforms
Publish content to mobile apps, social media, website, and CTV
Maintain a robust social media audience and engagement on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, and TikTok
Publish Podcasts
Publish to the YouTube channel
Publish to FAST channels
Know and use available tools to create content for all platforms
Work with the editorial team to ensure daily journalistic standards are met on all digital platforms
Maintain best practices for publishing content on all digital platforms
Participate in editorial / planning meetings
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Producer
Qualifications / Requirements
5 years of experience as a digital content producer in a top 100 market
Background in digital writing preferred
Experience in Mobile App management preferred
Experience in YouTube page management preferred
Understanding of digital CMS production and the ability to learn Arc as well as new systems as they are implemented
Proficiency in Windows-based software and the ability to learn ENPS as well as new systems as they are implemented
Proficiency in BitCentral as well as new systems as they are implemented
The ability to interact professionally and effectively with Gray management at the station and corporate level
Strong editorial judgment
Motivated, self-starter who is detail-oriented
BS / BA in Journalism / Communications or equivalent background
Flexibility with travel and work schedules
Must be willing to live in Atlanta, GA DMA
Remote work is a possibility
Must be 18 years or older
