Salary range : $55,000 - $65,000 / yr.
Responsibilities include :
Review and interpret civil engineering plans, specifications, and geotechnical reportsQuantify materials and labor using takeoff software and manual methodsDevelop detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for site development scopesCollaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and clarify scope.Maintain and update unit cost data, historical pricing, and productivity factorsIdentify value engineering opportunities and potential scope risksAttend pre-bid meetings and site visits as neededSupport the transition from estimating to operations with a clear handoff and project documentationRequirements :
Demonstrated high proficiency using Microsoft ExcelStrong understanding of civil construction components including grading, utilities, and pavingDemonstrated proficiency using estimating / production software (Bluebeam and Planswift)High School Diploma or equivalent. Preference given to candidates with associate or bachelor's degreeMinimum of 3 years' experience in estimating (residential or commercial)Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to work independently and take initiativeAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional mannerThe candidate must submit to a mandatory drug test and background check.McBride is an Equal Opportunity Employer
