CMM Programmer / Operator - Blue Thrusters

Blue Origin is seeking a Mechanical Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer to join our team. We envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, and we're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion.

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As a Mechanical Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer, you will inspect development and flight vehicle components for various spaceflight systems, sharing in the team's impact on providing accurate data on tight tolerance high-value components to determine configuration per engineering designs.

Responsibilities

• Manage preparation for Computer Aided Manufacturing inspection by creating data analysis templates using Microsoft Excel.
• Inspection Software Quality Assurance.
• Program, setup, and operate Leica laser tracker; Romer arm; CMM; Blue Light; Keyence; Manual Layout.
• Using design data to inspect machined and received components.
• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Provide feedback to machinists and engineers with dimensional data.
• Document Non-Conformance reports as required.
• Provide inspection time estimates.
• Process improvement including inspection cycle time reductions.
• Maintain configuration control on files and job records.
• Safely work within an industrial environment.
