HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team in Auburn Hills, USA. As a key member of our Law Americas Team, you will :
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of legal matters
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support business decisions and strategies
- Provide legal support to global projects
- Support and participate in global law networks on specific fields of law
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legal developments and provide updates to stakeholders
- Identify and analyze legal risks, developing and implementing solutions to avoid, limit, or secure them
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts of all kinds in close cooperation with internal stakeholders
- Develop and conduct workshops and training sessions
- Provide legal and business advice necessary to support all company business areas and corporate functions with daily operations
- Manage customer & supplier disputes and formal litigation matters (which may necessitate managing outside counsel)
- Explain complex, challenging issues in a clear manner to all levels of the organization, including senior management.
- Counsel and train employees on relevant legal and compliance issues, best practices and corporate strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the regional and global law department members and members of the company’s other governance functions to find solutions and impact the strategy of the company.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
Bachelor’s degreeJuris Doctorate Degree with a license to practice law in the United States.Minimum 3 years of experience as a legal professional in a corporation, law firm, or both, preferably with an international perspectiveStrong knowledge of commercial law and international business lawProven contract drafting and negotiation abilitiesStrong problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentAbility to familiarize with new areas of law quicklyOPEN TO VISA?
