Compensation : $100,000 – $120,000 annually (depending on experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Plant Manager to lead daily operations at our asphalt facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role will oversee production, maintenance, and staff management while ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards. The Plant Manager will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, developing employees, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all plant personnel, including laborers, loader operators, scale / load-out staff, and maintenance employees.
- Manage asphalt production to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.
- Develop and implement plant budgets, including labor, materials, and equipment maintenance.
- Enforce compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and environmental regulations .
- Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and oversee repairs to minimize downtime.
- Monitor production output, material usage, and product quality; implement corrective actions when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and sales activities.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce proper PPE use and safe work practices.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and professional development among plant staff.
- Serve as the main contact for internal leadership, customers, and regulatory representatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).Minimum 5 years of experience in asphalt, aggregates, or heavy construction plant operations.Demonstrated leadership experience in a supervisory or management role.Strong technical understanding of asphalt plant equipment, controls, and maintenance procedures.Proven ability to improve safety, productivity, and cost performance.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production tracking / reporting systems.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Valid driver's license; ability to work extended hours, weekends, and respond to plant emergencies.Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Role performed in both indoor and outdoor plant settings.Exposure to weather, loud noise, dust, and moving equipment.Ability to walk, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs. as required.Frequent use of PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection.
