Chemical / Mechanical Process engineer : Plans, organizes, and coordinates projects that involve mechanical and chemical engineering and maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Developing manufacturing processes that minimize waste and increase the quality and efficiency of finished products
- Developing and implementing safety procedures for staff working with hazardous materials
- Designing, planning and implementing the layout of manufacturing equipment to optimize production and decrease costs
- Staying up to date with new and emerging manufacturing processes
- Creating and presenting cost analysis reports to upper management
- Reducing the environmental impact of a manufacturing process
- Improving the safety of a manufacturing process
- Optimize existing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Document, troubleshoot, and resolve process problems
- Communicate findings and proposed improvements to management
- Ensure that processes comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations
- Create preventative maintenance procedures and schedules in for new and existing plant systems.
- Track key metrics to identify areas of improvement
- Oversight and management of the plant maintenance department

A bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineeringExperience in a process engineer roleKnowledge of statistical techniques and toolsExperience in performing mechanical or chemical engineeringExperience in project managementExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with process engineering software systems, such as CAD or AutoCADExperience with RMP / PSM processes in Chemical Manufacturing
