Chemical / Mechanical Process engineer : Plans, organizes, and coordinates projects that involve mechanical and chemical engineering and maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Developing manufacturing processes that minimize waste and increase the quality and efficiency of finished products
• Developing and implementing safety procedures for staff working with hazardous materials
• Designing, planning and implementing the layout of manufacturing equipment to optimize production and decrease costs
• Staying up to date with new and emerging manufacturing processes
• Creating and presenting cost analysis reports to upper management
• Reducing the environmental impact of a manufacturing process
• Improving the safety of a manufacturing process
• Optimize existing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Document, troubleshoot, and resolve process problems
• Communicate findings and proposed improvements to management
• Ensure that processes comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations
• Create preventative maintenance procedures and schedules in for new and existing plant systems.
• Track key metrics to identify areas of improvement
• Oversight and management of the plant maintenance department
