Continuous Improvement Project Manager (Tempo)

The Continuous Improvement Project Manager will be responsible for finding and implementing process improvements and best practices across each Tempo site.
Lead Project Design and Implementation
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities, design project plans, and implement solutions at both Tempo production facilities and corporate office
- Spend time training teams across each shift / function to ensure adoption of new processes and technologies
- Act as liaison for troubleshooting and resolution of startup issues
Identify Operational Efficiency Opportunities and Work With Sites to Implement and Sustain Best Practices
Guided by KPIs, travel to sites and work with leadership teams to find resolution to special-cause and common-cause process deviationsFoster and develop sites continuous improvement skillset, problem solving methodology, and data driven decision making through routine visits and trainingExperience assessing process performance, evaluating the results, and implementing changeAnalyze existing business processes to identify pain points, then build, propose, and implement data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and address operational hurdlesData Collection and Analysis
Utilize Tempo's KPIs for project selection and root cause analysisCollect before and after data on trials of new methods or configurationsCreate tools as needed to help track and sustain changesThis position requires up to 75% travel.

Completion of a four-year degree programMinimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing / operational environments or working directly with those in a manufacturing / operational environment, preferably from the food and beverage industryMinimum of 1 year of successful project management experience in a fast-paced environmentInterpersonal skills to work with team members across functions and in both production and corporate environmentsAnalytical proficiency to meet variable needs of the businessAbility to think "outside-the-box"Ability to react on the fly to unforeseen production and planning scenarios as they ariseComputer proficiency (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, PowerPoint, Google Sheets)Strong ability to track details and to keep track of projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsResults-oriented attitude; able to multi-task and get things doneWillingness to embrace change and adjust quickly in a fast-paced environmentMust be willing to travel up to 75%
