Job Purpose
This position will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions to drive innovation, strengthen operational efficiency, and support data-informed decision-making. The role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective integration of AI solutions across key organizational areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the AI & ML roadmap in alignment with organizational priorities and digital transformation strategies.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of model development, including data preprocessing, training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Design and implement AI solutions using supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning techniques.
- Enhance and optimize models through fine-tuning, monitoring, and feature engineering with tools such as NumPy and pandas.
- Build and maintain NLP, recommender, and predictive models in Python.
- Fine-tune and deploy Large Language Models (LLMs) to improve scalability and efficiency.
- Manage multiple AI / ML projects with timely delivery, clear documentation, and high technical standards.
- Collaborate with data governance teams to ensure responsible AI use, compliance with privacy laws, and adherence to ethical AI frameworks.
- Support and organize AI and data-related events, conferences, and workshops to strengthen networks and partnerships.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on AI and analytics activities, project status, and outcomes.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.Additional Job Requirements
Proven experience with frameworks, cloud platforms, big data technologies, and data pipeline tools, with the ability to handle large datasets and run machine learning algorithms effectively.Practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and advanced AI applications such as NLP, computer vision, recommendation systems, and deep learning.Strong understanding of responsible and ethical AI practices, with familiarity in model interpretability frameworks.Expertise in visualizing, analyzing, and manipulating big datasets, combined with strong business acumen to bridge technical and non-technical communication.Background in applying AI / ML solutions across diverse sectors such as healthcare, finance, education, or development is considered an advantage.Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or any related field.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 4 years of proven experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI roles.
