We're partnering with a growing Pittsburgh organization seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialist Role :

Process accounts receivable transactions, including cash applications and invoice generation

Follow up on past-due accounts and collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve outstanding issues

The AR Specialist will reconcile applied cash and prepare related reports, including weekly and monthly AR performance updates

Manage customer accounts in the ERP system, including setup, updates, and credit checks

Review sales trends, product profitability, and assist with sales tax compliance and exemption maintenance

The AR Specialist will investigate and resolve AR-related issues, adjustments, and billing errors

Support system upgrades, process improvements, and software enhancements by testing and providing feedback

Recommend and support collections for past-due accounts in compliance with corporate policies

Ideal Accounts Receivable Specialist Candidate :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

2-5 years of relevant accounts receivable experience

Strong ERP system experience and understanding of financial accounting principles (QAD a plus)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
