Director, Data Science eCommerce Strategy

We're looking for a Director to lead a team that is focused on creating initiatives for future strategies across Walmart that enhance our eCommerce Customer Value Proposition. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role within the organization with expectations to deliver immediate results. In this role, you'll primarily be responsible for creating a long-term strategy and transformative path for Walmart's rapidly growing omnichannel business.

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, and mentor a team of world-class supply chain strategists and highly analytical leaders, while working in an agile, experimental environment.
• Manage and execute entire projects from start to finish, including cross-functional project management, data collection and manipulation, analysis and modeling, and the communication of insights and recommendations.
• Build scalable and complex models and processes to optimize digital and physical flows with the goal of delivering an excellent customer experience while balancing long-term financial efficiency.
• Develop strong relationships with Walmart functional areas to identify best practices, solicit input / data, coordinate interdisciplinary initiatives, and gather support for recommendations.
• Identify areas of opportunity and influence execution of results via cross-functional participation to enable quick wins and continuous improvement.
• Obtain alignment from relevant business partners and management support for projects and lead discussions to drive change.
• Effectively organize, assemble, and use all available resources when given a project to ensure success.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications

Option 1 : Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 6 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 2 : Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 4 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 3 : 8 years' experience in an analytics or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Data science, machine learning, optimization models, PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R, Supervisory experience, Using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch), We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart's accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
