As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will play a vital role in a collaborative team dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients with renal failure. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), you will help deliver treatment and essential care to our patients.
Your Responsibilities Include :
- Patient Care : Directly engage with patients to deliver safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. You'll be responsible for gathering patient statistics before and after treatments, initiating and monitoring treatments, ending treatments, and collecting blood samples as directed by physicians.
- Technical Duties : Maintain high-quality standards by preparing dialysis machines for treatment, ensuring they are properly cleaned and disinfected post-treatment, and performing necessary safety checks while documenting results for quality control compliance.
- Safety and Compliance : Implement safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment. Work under the charge of a nurse to consistently follow all company policies and state / federal regulations, as well as participate in required training and continuing education.
This position is for our South Georgia Clinic located at 3564 N Crossing Cir, Valdosta, GA 31602.
What We Seek in You :
High school graduate or equivalent.A passion for healthcare and patient care.Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is advantageous.Comfort with the preparation of acids and bicarbonate according to established protocols.Ability to differentiate all primary colors.Additional Requirements :
Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency, within 8 weeks of hire.CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as mandated by state regulations.Patient Care Technician certification must be attained through a state or nationally recognized program within 18 months of hire and maintained in good standing thereafter.Are You Ready to Make a Difference?
