Assistant Professor of HTC Honors College The HTC Honors College at Coastal Carolina University seeks applications for two tenure track faculty appointments effective August 16, 2026, at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are seeking excellent interdisciplinary teacher-scholars with a preference for faculty in the natural sciences or the arts, who have demonstrated experience teaching undergraduates using innovative and engaged interdisciplinary pedagogy. Faculty will be expected to teach interdisciplinary honors seminar courses, as well as special topics courses in their area of expertise, and have an interest in leading study abroad experiences. Ideal candidates will also have a strong interdisciplinary research portfolio, a willingness to mentor students across a range of academic disciplines, and a commitment to participating in shared governance to move the college and the University forward. The HTC Honors College houses the university honors program, and we are in the process of developing and launching a new top scholars’ program that will provide additional opportunities for our most academically motivated students. We aspire to create a scholarly community that fosters interdisciplinary understanding, cultivates curiosity, inspires creativity, and encourages innovation. The successful candidates will be expected to conduct research and publish / perform in appropriate professional venues, provide high quality instruction, support honors student activities, advise and mentor students, and provide administrative service to the college and University. Candidates must have the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and students, both in the college and across campus. Full-time, tenure-track positions require a terminal degree in the field of expertise by the position start date of August 16, 2026.
