WHAT YOU WILL DO :
- Program and operate Coordinating Measuring Machine (CMM) to perform inspection procedures with CMM-Manager software.
- Use precision measuring instruments and special inspection equipment to inspect first piece, in-process, and final manufactured parts according to engineering specifications.
- Determine acceptance or rejection of products based on requirements.
- Complete all required documents and maintain records that pertain to quality control.
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order and perform preventative maintenance, as qualified.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of customers' products and documentation.
- Participate in providing timely feedback to other operations, as appropriate.
- Inspect complex parts and assemblies and may be consulted for recommendations for process improvements by engineering or management.
- Act as area expert in being able to perform inspection at all levels of complexity.
- Troubleshoot all levels of problems and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ability to read and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications, and customer documents.
- May perform detailed first article inspections.
ABOUT YOU :
High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of work experience in manufacturing and / or production.Previous work experience performing first piece inspection, GD&T, programming and operating a CMM, and mechanical inspection / surface plate layout.Ability to read & follow verbal & written work instructions in the English language.Proficient with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.Must be able to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications.Must be able to check parts for conformance to specifications.Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.BENEFITS :
