No billable hour requirements : flat fee cases! Benefits : 401(k) 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Paid time off Parental leave Professional development assistance Referral program Retirement plan Our firm has grown exponentially since 2013 when it was started. We now have 20+ attorneys and are still growing. What sets us apart from the others is that we have a strong focus on building for the future and emphasize family. The way things have come together lends to a laid-back work environment. If you are a nice person, easy to get along with, and a hard worker, we would love to talk with you! What would make someone leave their current practice to come work with you? Much lower expectations to cases compared to competitors, others cover 300-400 cases Prosecutors handle more than that, a significant portion are public appointments. Clients don’t treat you well. Case load is 80-100 Their case load is about 65, and is private bar. Flat fee, so no hourly billables to be accountable for. Junior Attorneys do have KPIs, case velocity, they cant let cases drag out forever. We train and invest in our attorneys. That is not normal everywhere. They have put processes into place, training senarios, senior attorneys who can learn against ex prosecutors. Most firms “quality of life” means you work 60 hours of week. Our attorneys work 35-40 hours a week on average, that’s real. If they have a jury trial obviously that’s different but that is only 1-2% of cases. How does compensation work? If you want to set KPIs higher we will pay you more. If you want to be paid more you can work more. Most people choose to be paid to work 35-40 hours a week $70,000 - $100,000 base Net all in compensation could easily double it to $150k+ Bonuses : Generate your own business, as is you simply have to sign the leads they generate. If you generate your own leads you will earn more, if you collect on fees from cases you will earn more. If the division and branch does well, you can earn somewhat of a profit sharing plan. Tom will evaluate that based on the level of person coming in. could be 10 – 100k depending. Why is the job open? Former head of the madison office, had to find a work from home job Claire was at the head, joe was #2 who is great at sales, but no ones definition of a great manager. Joe now took Claire’s spot and hes getting better at managing but it doesn’t change that he needs someone o help him. Right now there are 10+ attorneys and joe has no one close to his experience / abilities so he’s throwing in from the outfield with no cut off man. He needs someone close to his level to help. What do you need? Needs a senior attorney to help assigning cases and handle heavier cases Senior attorneys accomplish sales, training younger attorneys, and dealing with advanced cases / backing up junior attorneys. Super small pool locally 12-24 people probably only, criminal defense attorneys with strong experience. Can be a Prosacutor or defense. Minimally 5 years of expeirence, ideally closer to 10. Happy to train what they don’t know Crimal Attorney work does not have to be the entire career just has to have done it in the past and want to do it now.
