Overview

TalentFish is casting a line for a Manager Data & Analytics . This is a Full-Time remote role with the company based in Illinois.

The reason this position exists is to lead a team of analysts responsible for accurate data collection, processing, modeling, and analysis to drive organizational strategy. The role transforms complex data into actionable insights and ensures seamless data governance and infrastructure across Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric environments.

What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)

6-8 years of relevant experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related field.

Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong technical expertise in data engineering, data architecture, and infrastructure technologies.

Solid understanding of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, OneLake, and Power BI.

Experience in Azure DevOps, including Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans, and Artifacts.

Proven ability to lead data-driven teams, manage cross-functional projects, and communicate insights effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience managing or collaborating with offshore teams through Application Managed Services (AMS).

Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.

What You'll Do. (Skills Used in this Position)

Lead a team of analysts in developing data collection, modeling, and analysis strategies to inform executive decision-making.

Design and execute cross-functional projects using advanced data analysis techniques to Client insights that drive strategy and efficiencies.

Develop and implement data governance and security strategies across Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.

Facilitate integration between Databricks and Fabric via OneLake shortcuts and Delta Sharing to prevent data fragmentation.

Lead data engineering, analytics, and data science teams in building robust and scalable data solutions.

Guide the organization in leveraging AI capabilities and business intelligence tools to enhance reporting and strategic insight.

Manage and optimize data environmentsdefining environments, managing ALM processes, and ensuring system stability and performance.

Oversee environment planning, deployment, updates, and compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Direct the data request and prioritization process, ensuring efficient delivery and continuous improvement.

Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to executives and management teams, highlighting business functions, key metrics, and performance trends.

Conduct recruiting, training, and professional development for analyst-level employees.

Maintain vendor relationships and ensure all IT policies, documentation, and compliance standards are met.

Ensure budget objectives and performance goals are achieved for assigned areas.

Manage lifecycle and performance optimization across multiple data systems to ensure efficient resource utilization.

Compensation Information

The expected salary range for this position is $125,00.00 - $150,000.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also offers comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
