Our client in New York City is seeking a Junior Network / Systems Administrator. This is a full time, direct hire role with a very well established company.
Prior law firm industry experience is strongly preferred. This position will work on a hybrid model (3 days week onsite, 2 days a week remote).
Junior Network / Systems Administrator
Position will involve the following :
Responsibilities :
- Performance Tuning : Analyze system and network performance metrics,identify bottlenecks,and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.
- Hardware Upgrades : Plan,coordinate,and execute hardware upgrades for servers,storage,and network equipment,ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
- Data Center Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance tasks within the data center,including rack organization,cable management,environmental monitoring,and minor hardware troubleshooting.
- Server Management : Install,configure,and rebuild servers using various operating systems and virtualization platforms.
- Daily System Monitoring : Proactively monitor system health,identify potential issues before they impact operations,and escalate critical problems to the appropriate teams.
- System Patches : Apply security patches and software updates to ensure system stability and protection against vulnerabilities.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all IT infrastructure and procedures.
- Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve operational issues with servers,network equipment,and applications.
- Collaboration : Work effectively with other IT teams and departments to identify and resolve technical issues.
