Position Overview

Cumulus Nashville is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced New Business Development Representative - a unique opportunity to find and create dynamic full-service marketing solutions using a variety of local and national music, news and entertainment platforms that help clients grow their business.

As a New Business Development Representative at Cumulus Nashville, you will focus on building a portfolio of clients who are looking for creative advertising solutions. This is more than a sales role - it's a rare opportunity to become a multi-media expert. Digital and Social platforms, Radio and Podcasting (audio channels like sports, news, country and urban), and live activation Events will provide endless opportunities for your clients. We'll teach you everything you need to know to become an authority on multi-media marketing solutions to drive results for your clients.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities :

  • Build strong relationships with local and regional businesses, acting as a trusted advisor who understands their market, audience, and growth goals.
  • Create Multi-Platform Campaigns : Design and pitch integrated marketing strategies using our full suite of assets-broadcast, digital, social, influencer, podcast, streaming, and live events.
  • Drive Results : Deliver measurable outcomes for clients through innovative, data-informed campaigns that build brand loyalty and drive ROI.
  • Own the Process : From prospecting and pitching to closing and campaign execution, you'll manage the full sales cycle with creativity and precision.
  • Capitalize on industry trends and utilize product knowledge to effectively communicate our unique value propositions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align sales initiatives.
  • Represent the Cumulus brand and our company's ethos and values in all interactions.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years sales experience and a unique ability to talk to strangers and turn them into your next client.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing or related field is preferred
  • Drive for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities, with a customer-first mindset.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, thriving in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Basic understanding of digital platforms and their integration with sales strategies.
  • Friendly, curious, and willing to learn and grow.
  • Good multi-tasking skills.
