Broad Scope & Purpose :
The National Clinical Director and the Regional Clinical Director are senior clinical roles, operating at a strategic level with BD MMS's top customers. Success in this role requires deep engagement and understanding of the Medication Management Process, its clinical impact and strategic challenges to help drive customer transformation through focused solutions. The Clinical Director will act as an industry thought leader and will strive to build relationships and become a trusted advisor to key clinical decision-makers, helping them transform their medication use process.
In addition to the direct responsibility for enterprise level clinical engagement, the Clinical Director will lead a team of clinicians who will have responsibility for pre and post-sale facility level clinical engagement. Proven ability to successfully create and implement customer IDN and facility strategy, as well as BD functional strategy and team execution support.
People management responsibilities include hiring, training, and retaining a staff of clinicians to support the sales process and customer engagement at select accounts. The Director will ensure accountability for their team's execution of core responsibilities and key initiatives, focused on facility level support.
What is expected of you for success in your role :
Responsible for direct engagement with selected Strategic accounts, building deep partnership with the customer and the account teams to drive multi-year clinical strategy.
Ability to develop strong clinical sponsorship and support from c-suite and functional clinical leaders at assigned customers.
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare industry, including both hospital based as well as care continuum medication management and supply chain processes.
Expertly performs complex customer current state assessment and creates a compelling future state business case (roadmap) to meet customer's strategic objectives / vision. Ensures customer strategic goals and implementation of solutions are aligned across the business.
A proven track record of strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Possesses dynamic presentation and excellent business writing skills.
Demonstrates customer centricity.
Displays strategic thinking, having a global and company mindset, focusing on results, skill growth, and continuous improvement.
Collaborates with cross-functional BD resources to ensure appropriate implementation and support services are aligned to drive standardization initiatives and optimizing efforts to achieve strategic goals and objectives identified at the beginning of the project. Remains clinical point of contact through the completion of the project.

Lead a team of Clinical Solutions Consultants that will be focused on the facility level clinical engagements.
Provides sales consultation and strategic guidance within the medication management and supply chain systems for the team that you lead. Identifies current areas of inefficiencies, patient / provider safety concerns, revenue augmentation, cost reduction, regulatory non-compliance, and drug diversion opportunities. Performs workflow redesign with practice change recommendations and accompanying BD solutions to facilitate achievement of industry best practices and customer strategic goals.
Stays active and engaged with important healthcare related organizations to stay abreast of healthcare trends and changes in Pharmacy / Nursing practice that impact our business or customers. Acts as a thought leader to readily share healthcare knowledge with internal and external customers.
Represents the clinical voice of the Customer to platform teams for product enhancement and new product development initiatives.
Proven ability to successfully create and implement customer IDN and facility strategy, as well as BD functional strategy and team execution support.
Qualifications :
Baccalaureate degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
5-10 years of experience in an acute care hospital environment required.
5+ years people management experience required.
3+ yrs prior direct quota carrying capital sales experience strongly preferred.
Proven ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
Demonstrated ability to develop pre and post sales strategy.
Hospital departmental management / leadership experience required.
Up to 75% travel required, including nights and some weekends.
National / Strategic IDN experience strongly preferred.
Proven cross department collaboration, leading in a matrix environment strongly preferred.
Geographic proximity to National / Regional alignment required.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Broad infusion and dispensing product knowledge is strongly preferred.
Additional Qualifications :
Nurse applicants - (at least one Director role must be Nursing leader)
Required :
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Experience with infusion systems utilizing safety software / dose error reduction software.
Experience leveraging dispensing solutions and collaborating with pharmacy leadership.
Preferred Experiences :
Quality improvement committee or patient safety initiatives.
Medication automated dispensing cabinets utilization.
Supply automation solutions.
Procedural areas.
Pharmacist applicants - (at least one Director role must be Pharmacy leader)
Required :
Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist.
Experience with pharmacy operations automation and medication automated dispensing cabinets.
Experience collaborating on cross functional teams including Nursing and IT leaders.
Preferred Experiences :
Managing IV compounding room.
Ensuring regulatory compliance.
Overseeing patient safety systems.
Managing financial and formulary challenges.
